Having submitted planning in December, Swan Group are now awaiting full approval to deliver the 113-unit scheme to Glasgow City.
Edinburgh Road represents one of the Group’s most promising development sites. The site is situated approximately 5 miles east of Glasgow City Centre, on the south side of Edinburgh Road, one of the main arterial routes of Glasgow. The site is an 8.97-acre brownfield site prime for residential development.
Swan Group purchased the Edinburgh Road site midway through 2019 and have worked extensively with operating partners to formulate a favourable scheme to suit the surrounding demand and housing criteria. Swan Group successfully undertook the full demolition alongside a complete site investigation to prepare the site, however, progress was unfortunately hampered by the recent Covid-19 pandemic lockdown. Swan Group are now pleased to see progress being made on the site and aim to make up for lost time and begin construction on site this year once full planning approval is granted.
The scheme will be comprised of 2 and 3-bed housing therefore appealing to a range of occupants. Thanks to direct and quick access to key transport routes the site provides a great balance between home and work life with residents able to be in the heart of Glasgow within 10 minutes.
