2017 got off to a great start for Swan Group with news that the Scottish Government has committed to delivering at least 50,000 affordable homes by March 2021. This represents a 67% increase in affordable housing supply. The Scottish Government pledge is backed by £3 billion of investment.
During 2016-17 the Scottish Government will invest more than £572 million in the Affordable Housing Supply Programme. Scotland’s local authorities will be allocated a share of over £406 million in grant subsidy to deliver more affordable homes for 2016-17, over £100 million more than last year.
